Camille Olson
Owner
As the founder and owner of The Design House, I’m in the perfect place to fulfill my life’s goals — to create an environment where happy, well-cared for individuals can thrive and do their best work. My interior design team consists of self-driven, talented professionals who are ready to help our clients translate their visions into inspiring spaces.
My passion for design dates back to my days as an interior designer in the “hot” Las Vegas market in early 2000. As I traveled through different careers, I find myself in my third chapter of life — back to what I really love, interior design.
When it comes to my personal style, I realize I have always been into fashion. I look at the trends but always focus on the ones that have longevity — the ones that are not necessarily over the top expensive but are always in style. This love of fashion helps explain my passion for interior design and my clients will reap the benefits of spaces that are considered always in fashion.
Finally, I am a passionate, kind and loving person who is a solid business leader and a proud mother of two amazing children — both who inspire me each and every day. I pledge that myself and my team will help you through the many challenges and obstacles of creating the perfect living or working space.
Emma Sabala
Office Administrator & Designer
My name is Emma Sabala and I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in May of 2021 with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business with an emphasis in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Aside from my college education, I have always had a passion for interior design. Growing up I always loved observing and helping my mom decorate our homes. The various styles and designs individuals can select and build into their dream space is fascinating to me.
While in college, I began looking for ways I could help local designers both in Boise, Idaho and at school in Boulder, Colorado. My first internship was with Kathy Searcy at the Idaho Design Center here in Boise and the other with Haven Interiors in Boulder where I shadowed Laura Hodgens. I am very thankful to have had both of these experiences as they provided great insight to the design industry in its entirety.
After graduation, I became very eager to begin my design career. Boise is home to me and I could not be happier to have accepted working as an Interior Designer for The Design House in July of 2021. A few months after I began my career here, I also accepted the role as Office Administrator which has provided me with a new and exciting understanding of the industry. I feel so blessed to be working alongside such a hardworking and talented team and look forward to all there is to come.
Emma Poe
Senior Designer
A graduate of the University of Idaho – College of Art & Architecture with a bachelor’s in Interior Architecture & Design, and a minor in Architecture.
Interior Design has always been a passion of mine. Even when I was little I spent more time designing my doll’s houses than actually playing with them. When it was time to head off to college, I knew exactly my career path. After graduation, I moved back to my hometown and worked as an Interior Designer in the Sun Valley area. Now, in the Boise area, I love designing anything from custom to commercial – it’s all my jam. I’m a bit of a design software nerd and love creating renderings.
Outside of work, you could find me spending time outdoors, at the gym, or dining and spending time with my partner, friends, family, and little Dachshund, Dale.
Ruby Tafoya
Marketing Specialist
My name is Ruby and I am from Orange County, California. I graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Business, Marketing. I love traveling, cooking, spending my free time exploring the beach or mountains, as well as hanging out with my family and friends.
As a Marketing Specialist, I craft posts that showcase our firm’s unique approach to Interior Design. Through engaging content, staying on top of the latest trends, emerging marketing strategies, stunning projects, and promoting our vendors, I ensure our brand stands out in a crowded market and attracts a diverse clientele.
I have always been intrigued by Interior Design and felt I had an eye for it growing up, assisting my mom with decorating our homes and helping her curate our living spaces to be stylish, yet comfortable. I consider myself a creative person and I feel that Interior Design is a great way to channel that creativity into something I am truly passionate about. I am so blessed to work with such amazing women that inspire me every day and I look forward to expanding my knowledge in this field by being a part of this stellar team!
Mandi Iverson
Resource Manager
Hi, I’m Mandi!
I was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, and now live in the North End of Boise.
I love traveling, spending time with family, my dog and friends…not in that particular order, and 3D puzzles!
I got my start in design while working on several construction projects with my dad and fell in love with the organization, details, and design aspects of each venture. I also have my cosmetology license and enjoy being behind the chair and taking care of my clients.
As the Resource Manager for The Design House, I pride myself on organization and finding unique products and textiles for the companies’ designers. Not only is It exciting and rewarding but challenging and I am always learning something new.
